Deionized Water car applications include ‘topping up’ lead acid batteries where the presence of ions found in Tap Water could cause a serious reduction in the lifespan of a car or truck battery. Synonyms for Deionized Water include Demineralized Water, DI Water and DIW. The word ‘Deionized’ can also be spelt with a ‘s’ as in Deionised or Demineralised, Deionisation or Demineralisation, Deionise or Demineralise. In effect, all these products are the same material.
